This is no joke. QEII has been my monarch all my life and today, I heard her speak unscripted for the first time. Although I've hung on every word of her Xmas messages for the last 50 years and heard bits of her reading the opening of parliament or the opening of a hospital etc, every word uttered by my monarch that has reached my ears, until today, has been written-to-be-spoken.
