So, Google is now the enemy! Google collects data from people who use its services for free. We use blogs like this one, use Youtube all day everyday, photographs we upload and share, we access Google books, and we live by Google mail/chat. For this we pay the princely sum of zero dollars. If the people, who employee thousands of very talented programmers, who pay them professional salaries and provide them with innovative and uberhumane working conditions (the envy of most employees around the world), want in return for everything they give us for free, the opportunity to target their advertising at us, which we are entirely at liberty to ignore, let them.Wwe are paying a small price for what they provide and what we accept.
The people who complain about this are unrealistic, greedy, they want their cake and eat it too.
I don't care if Google puts ads in the margins of my various services. Better than random ones: I don't want ads for cars, boob jobs, bungee jumping.
