A new CEO at Pepsi,Indra Nooyi, wanted to turn Pepsi into a company that was known for products that are good for you. Pepsi with a purpose. Sales declined, investors/shareholders were not happy and Beyonce was brought on board to get the product back to its basic function, that is, to line the pockets of its shareholders.It's easy to blame the shareholders when put like this. But one has to wonder what's up with a population that buys drinks in response to the razzle dazzle of commercialism, instead of drinking healthily.
